Hackleton, Horton and Piddington
Hackleton is a village just out side Northampton on the old A50 Newport Pagnall Road. It has many fine houses, a chapel and a very good pub.
Up until around 1970, Horton, less than a mile to the south east, consisted of the church, Horton Grange, a few cottages and not much else. There is now an estate of 1970s 'Scandinavian' houses and some more recent infill.
Piddington is a short walk from Hackleton and boasts a pub and, in former times, a railway station on the Bedford to Northampton Line.
