Long Buckby
Long Buckby is a large village about ten miles north-west of Northampton. On the Northampton side it has a semi urban quality with many C19 brick buildings, including former shoe workshops sitting along side earlier stone cottages. The western side of the village is probably the most interesting architecturally, particularly around the church. The two surviving pubs cater for most tastes and the co-op supermarket, of shed construction is discreetly hidden behind the High Street. The railway station is some way out of the village and very little remains of the original handsome stucture of the 1880s
